Ginger Bistro opened in 2012 with the idea of combining gusto with healthy, organic, vegan, and vegetarian products. Near Piazza di Spagna, Via Condotti, and of course Via Del Corso, Ginger has elenco_menumaintained the highest standards that Roma’s centre has been keeping for the past years. The restaurant is both as fashionable as it sounds and as casual as a daily spot should be. Consequently, it has become one of the “must go to” places in Rome, where residents, tourists, and workers have been welcomed with great professionalism and great smiles. The cuisine is Mediterranean, but innovative. As a bistro of the highest culinary quality, the products are chosen with the most meticulous rigor, from the exotic fruits to the seasonal vegetables, to the local products, and to the meat and fish. This attention to the products and their origin resulted in the 80% of the menu being vegetarian, and raw; while the 70% of the menu has its origin
from a strictly organic agriculture.

The restaurant is open from early morning to late at night (10 am- 12am). The kitchen is always open during those hours; therefore if you miss that critical lunch hour (which can be almost stressful for the amount of people rushing to the restaurants), do not be frightened. Ginger is ready to welcome anyone with open arms at any time. The menu is ample and choosing only one plate is an incredibly arduous quest; this is why there is a little chance that you will not come back.

I have been there more than once and of course, every time was at a different time of day. The first time was with my uncle and he was on a lunch break from work. We met at the bistro, and I was impressed with the beautyGinger_Bistro_fresh_fruit of the restaurant’s design and the prevalence of the colour white that gave the place an elegant atmosphere. In complete contrast, behind the counter a vast choice of fruits, with their passionate, bright colours, are available for a nice smoothie, giving the place an exotic sense. At the entrance, meat lovers can find hanging some of the tastiest prosciutto from Italy to Spain. Once the menu arrived I chose a salad, intrigued by the fresh ingredients, and the flavours they afterwards created in my mouth. My uncle got a baguette with one of the prosciutto offerings.

Needless to say we were both very glad of our choices.

Ginger_Bistro_shakeThe second time I visited this beautiful and delicious restaurant was during a semi-warm afternoon after a hard working day; I will be honest, it was really shopping. Finally I got the chance to enjoy one of their milkshakes. I was the happiest person there in that moment.

Do not miss out on the chance to enjoy a glamorous yet casual morning, lunch, aperitif, or dinner time at Ginger Bistro.
